• Cleanings & Exams

  Professional Dental cleaning consists of removing hard “tartar” deposits and plaque from your teeth. This is followed by a thorough polishing of all the teeth with a fluoride-containing paste. Regular dental exams and cleanings are important in order to maintain healthy teeth and gums.

• Tooth Whitening

  We offer professional tooth whitening that starts with the fabrication of a custom bleaching tray to insure even distribution of the bleach solution. You wear the tray with the appropriate bleach solution daily (the time will vary based on the specific solution used). Treatment is generally completed within 2 weeks.

• Sealants

  Sealants are very effective at preventing decay in the pits and grooves of your back teeth. The process is simple and cost effective. We paint a layer of a composite resin liquid in the grooves which is then bonded and hardened in place with a bright light. This seals these areas and reduces the risk of decay in the future.

• Tooth Color Restoration

  These composite resin restorations are an effective replacement for the silver amalgam restorations used in the past. They are shaded to match your natural teeth and are bonded in place. They can be done in one visit and generally require less tooth preparation than silver fillings. For these reasons, we no longer routinely use silver amalgam restorations.

• Crowns

  Teeth that are too severely damaged to be restored with traditional filling material can often be restored to function with a crown. Crowns can be made of metal, porcelain fused to metal or all porcelain depending on the situation and patient preference.

• Root Canals

  Root canals are often necessary to restore teeth when the nerve inside the tooth has become damaged or abscessed from either decay or trauma. Treatment involves the removal of the infected nerve and filling the nerve canal with an inert plastic material. Contrary to what most people have been told, the procedure can usually be performed comfortably without pain using local anesthetic.

Implants

Dental Implants have become the treatment of choice for the replacement of most missing teeth. They can also be used to provide retention and stability to conventional removable dentures and significantly improve function.

The procedure involves the placement of a titanium root form implant in the bone. After a healing period of 3-4 months, we will take an impression and have a crown fabricated. At the final appointment, we will attach an abutment onto the implant and cement a crown to that abutment.

Dentures

We provide conventional complete and partial dentures as well as the newer flexible partial dentures to replace multiple missing teeth. These can now also be stabilized using implants with precision attachments that will in addition help to preserve the supporting bone.

Oral Surgery

We provide most extractions and minor oral surgical procedures here in our office. For complicated procedures or for patients who request general anesthesia we will provide a referral to a qualified Oral Surgeon.
